Concept: Physicians can use information about a patient's genes to tailor their therapy, increasing efficacy and reducing toxicity.

But genetic analyses aren't always informative. In fact, reading genes in a "pile" of cells (bulk analysis) can be misleading. Cell-by-cell analysis of proteins tells us more; after all, proteins directly confer function, not genes. Moreover, for immunotherapy patients, we need to focus measurements on the relevant cell type: immune cells.
